A little about myselfMy name is Alexia Zuniga. I am a Applied Sociology Major with a minor in Spanish. I am a very good with my communication skills, listening skills and always has initiative to do more than what i am expected. Here at Kindred Hospice in San Marcos I have learned so much. I have visited patients, attending meetings, luncheons and events. My best experience was visiting patients and providing socialization and companionship. Sometimes they are lonely and they enjoy talking and hanging around. I walked with patients, painted their nails and massaged their hands while listening to music. I am capable of making a difference with the knowledge i have gathered here at my internship. I am able to see how it all works from within and use that in the future with any social work job I choose. |
Get In Touch.
I know being in an internship is a big first step into a professional lifestyle. We are very lucky that our major requires us to do an internship to get some experience. Everyone gets nervous but you are not alone! Feel free to contact me and message me with any questions you have. I have been there and done it. I know a few things.
